Day 1:
Explore Valladolid – A Magical Town Full of History and Charm
Your Yucatán adventure begins at Cancun International Airport! We’ll be waiting to welcome you and head straight to Valladolid, a Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) rich in colonial charm and vibrant culture.
Stroll through colorful streets and admire the elegant colonial architecture. We’ll visit the iconic San Servacio Cathedral, located in the heart of town, followed by a relaxing walk through the Main Square, where you can try a marquesita, a beloved local dessert.
This is your perfect moment to unwind, soak in the atmosphere, and gear up for the days of adventure ahead. A magical and traditional start to your multi-day Yucatán journey!
Day 2:
Nature and Color at Río Lagartos & Las Coloradas
Today we travel to Río Lagartos, a scenic fishing village famous for its biodiversity. We’ll board a boat tour through the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, where you’ll spot a variety of birds—especially the striking pink flamingos—and explore peaceful mangroves and lagoons.
After the boat ride, we’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch (drinks not included) before continuing to Las Coloradas, home to the iconic pink lagoons. This natural wonder is perfect for photography and taking in the surreal, otherworldly beauty of the area.
We’ll return to Valladolid in the evening to relax and prepare for the next leg of the tour. A day filled with wildlife, natural wonders, and unforgettable sights.
Day 3:
Chichén Itzá, Cenote Swim, Yellow Town of Izamal & Arrival in Mérida
We begin early with a visit to the world-famous Chichén Itzá, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Discover ancient Mayan architecture, including the Temple of Kukulkán, and feel the mystery and history of this sacred site.
Next, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant, featuring traditional Yucatecan dishes such as cochinita pibil.
We’ll then visit a nearby cenote, where you can take a refreshing swim in crystal-clear waters surrounded by nature.
Our final stop is Izamal, the enchanting “Yellow City,” known for its golden-hued buildings and serene atmosphere. Walk through its peaceful streets and visit the Franciscan monastery built atop a Mayan pyramid.
By evening, we’ll arrive in Mérida, Yucatán’s vibrant capital, to rest and enjoy the city.
Day 4:
Relaxing Beach Day in Celestún
Today is all about relaxation by the sea. We’ll head to Celestún, a coastal town within the Celestún Biosphere Reserve. Here, you’ll have a full day to unwind on soft white-sand beaches and swim in calm, turquoise waters.
Enjoy the freedom to sunbathe, walk along the shoreline, or simply relax in a hammock under the palm trees.
Local seaside restaurants offer fresh seafood and traditional dishes, available at your leisure. Whether you decide to indulge in a beachfront meal or just enjoy nature, the day is yours.
Later, we’ll return to Mérida to rest after a peaceful beach retreat.
Day 5:
Uxmal Ruins, Chocolate Museum, Traditional Cuisine & Cenote Experience
Get ready for a day rich in Mayan history and cultural flavors. We start by visiting Uxmal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its majestic architecture like the Pyramid of the Magician and Nunnery Quadrangle.
Next, we’ll visit the Chocolate Museum, where you’ll learn about the sacred role of cacao in Mayan culture, from cultivation to artisanal production—with a tasty sampling included!
Then we’ll enjoy a traditional underground-cooked lunch, featuring authentic dishes such as cochinita pibil or slow-roasted pork, cooked in a pib (earth oven).
In the afternoon, cool off with a swim in a nearby cenote, the perfect way to refresh after a culturally immersive day.
We’ll return to Mérida in the evening, where you’ll have the night to explore or relax.
Day 6:
Farewell and Transfer to Cancun Airport
After a week of discovery, culture, and natural beauty, it’s time to say goodbye. We’ll take you back to Cancun International Airport, marking the end of this unforgettable Yucatán adventure.
We hope you return home with new memories, deeper cultural appreciation, and a heart full of gratitude.
